Up in Yo-Semite

Just updating from Yosemite N.P. Got here the 23rd, leaving the 29th.

Got this new laptop for Christmas!!! =D (Or else this post wouldn't be here xD)

Hiked Mirror Lake today, an easy 2.4-mi. round trip. Icy conditions, the slip-and-fall-if-you're-not-careful kind, though. The lake is fast filling up with sediment and in less than a half century could be no more.

The cafeteria at the Lodge is yet to fill up with the huge Badger Pass ski crowds, which usually come in the very day after Christmas.

The staff at the Lodge have been very friendly and helpful to us, as always. Some of the employees we see year after year.

No snow yet, only rain in the forecast. Snow has been on the GROUND the whole time, yet none has fallen since we arrived.

Rain forecast tonight into tomorrow, temperatures have been and will stay in the mid to upper 40s in the daytime, that's just enough cold for me ;)

Lows at night have reached the low 20s, but we're not out that late. I'd say the coldest temps I've experienced so far on the trip have been low 30s.

Well, will be off now for sleep. Another hike tomorrow if the weather holds up.
